    MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

Today we celebrate our Lords life on earth and prepare for a new era-

THE COMING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

“You will receive power from on high”

    “You’ll never walk alone.”

“I am with you always, yes to the end of time.”

“And now YOU will be my witness to the ends of the earth.”

Inevitably they feel abandoned and they’re devastated and terrified.  God sent his Son into the world to give his love to the world – and it cost him his life.  Now the Son sends his apostles with the same task – to give the Good News to the world – and it will cost them their lives.  What Good News?

That our destiny is LIFE ETERNAL.

He knows they will face ferocious hostility and even death.  We may not face persecution but at times certainly ridicule for the courage of our convictions.  Again, inevitably at times there will be confusion and disagreements amongst his followers.  That’s why We Will Always Need The Holy Spirit.

“In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”  Yes, a Real Person Who Loves , Cares, Strengthens and Encourages Us.

“Come Holy Spirit, Fill The Hearts Of Your Faithful.”

He didn’t leave the Apostles to struggle by themselves and he won’t leave us either.

A few deep theological thoughts to end!

What you are is God’s gift to you –what you become is your gift to God!

Don’t worry about the world coming to an end, it’s already tomorrow in Australia!

Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift from God – that’s why it’s called THE PRESENT!

If I spent as much time doing the things I worry about getting done as I do worrying about them, I wouldn’t have anything to worry about!  Sort that one out!
