PS Breaking News: Congratulations to our A level students. You have done brilliantly CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Theme: “God isn’t prejudiced – He has time for everybody!

“JESUS DIED FOR ALL – NOT A SELECT FEW.”

Today’s theme

The “GOOD NEWS” – the gospel, is for everybody. It is not the exclusive property of Christians. It is not the exclusive property of Catholics. The “Good News” is to be shared among ALL PEOPLE AND NATIONS. The Apostles were Jews and as such regarded themselves as exclusive. The Early Christian Church was Jewish and as such regarded itself as exclusive. Even the great St Paul had to be converted from his attitude to non Jews.  We all have a tendency to promote exclusiveness. But we are all God’s creation. Our Lord’s whole mission was to break down barriers and to remove walls of division and prejudice. God does not discriminate but welcomes all who ask for his mercy and seek to do his will. The GOOD SHEPHERD not only INVITES sinners back but seeks them and welcomes them. “Even the house dogs can eat the scraps that fall from their master’s table” – ITS BRILLIANT

CAFOD - GAZA CRISIS APPEAL
“We are working around the clock to get food, water, medicines, hygiene kits and emergency supplies to thousands of people. It is a humanitarian disaster.

We are calling on the Government to show stronger support for a comprehensive and permanent ceasefire, humanitarian access and a long term solution to the Israel-Palestine conflict”. (I would suggest both sides start praying!)

OUR PRAYER is for the many, many people whose lives have been torn apart by the conflict.  We remember especially ALL those who have died those who are grieving, the injured and those now without food, shelter or medical supplies. We also PRAY or those who have the power to bring peace. May they be inspired by COMPASSION.

The CAFOD letter also says: “In the unlikely event of income exceeding need for this appeal, additional monies will be allocated to other urgent emergencies.” I WOULD SUGGEST SYRIA AND IRAQ

THE 2nd COLLECTION today is for this appeal. Please also sign the petition as you leave the church. THANK YOU

As we all await in trepidation the ‘A’ and ‘O’ level results here are some previous exam howlers
