THEY DO NOT PRACTICE WHAT THEY PREACH

    (today’s gospel)

THE HOSTILITY CONTINUES WITH THE SCRIBES AND PHARISEES. Not only is their sincerity in question, they are also criticised for craving attention and seeking honours.

THIS MUST NOT HAPPEN TO HIS FOLLOWERS. SERVICE IS THE CHRISTIAN PHILOSOPHY

“The Son of Man came not to be served but to serve”

    OUR BEAUTIFUL STAINED GLASS WINDOWS

    Harold, why the theme ‘trees’?

“One Sunday after Mass, I started to draw in an olive grove near Florence in Tuscany. The sun was shining, warming the land and the sweet smell of the trees made me relax and I fell asleep. When I awoke, I found an incomplete drawing so I prayed “Dear Blessed Virgin, please help me to see your glorious vision in an olive tree.”

    A simple explanation!

AND A FEW GEMS TO END

November is the month when we remember our loved ones who have died, please place in the envelope your donations along with the person you want remembering.

“Mum, why does Fr John pray to God before he preaches?”

“He asks God to help him”

He looked puzzled, “Why doesn’t he then?”

UCM notice in the kitchen “Will ladies making tea kindly empty tea-pots and kettles, then stand upside down in the sink!!! Well done Betty!
