“HE WOULD NOT SPEAK TO THEM EXCEPT IN PARABLES.”
“Parable- a short story that uses familiar events”. “To illustrate the Kingdom of God”.
A tiny seed becomes a huge tree.
The Church began with a seemingly unimportant death on a cross & has not only survived 2000 years but now embraces millions
NOTHING CAN ULTIMATELY THWART GOD’S PLANS.
“A farmer sows seed & must wait patiently for harvest time”.
Don’t be discouraged- just wait patiently.
A LESSON FOR ALL GENERATIONS.
FIRST HOLY COMMUNION SUNDAY.
GOD’S GREATEST GIFT- JESUS ON THE CROSS & JESUS IN HOLY COMMUNION.
“This is my Body broken for you……my Blood shed for YOU”.
What I am is God’s gift to me. What I become is my gift to God!
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OUR GIRLS & BOYS!
Thank you, Kevin Lyons, our teachers, catechists and choir without whom today’s celebration would not be possible.
P.S. “Parents example is the teacher of mankind” It’s not what you say, but what you do!
And now, the funnies!
“I like cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food!”
“Darling, I’ve made the chicken soup” “Thank you dear, for a moment I thought it was for me!”
“The food in that restaurant is terrible. AND, they serve such small portions!”
Can you explain why people order a Double Cheeseburger, large fries AND a Diet Coke???
PS. I’m also trying to slim down the Bulletin!
