WHIT SUNDAY – THE BIRTHDAY OF THE CHURCH
“COME HOLY SPIRIT... THE FIRE OF YOUR LOVE”
TODAY NO WIND NO FIRE BUT THE SAME HOLY SPIRIT
AFRAID, TERRIFIED – BRAVE, FEARLESS
THE HOLY SPIRIT TRANDFORMED THEM
“I will not leave you orphans”
He will not abandon us,
“He will teach you everything and remind you of all I have said to you.”
Come Holy Spirit and fill our hearts with your love!
PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW THAT GOD LOVES THEM AS INDIVIDUALS, JUST AS THEY ARE DESPITE THEIR FAULTS AND FAILINGS, AFTER ALL
HE IS THEIR CREATOR
“Even if a mother forgets the child of her womb,
I WILL NEVER FORGET YOU.”
YOUARE MY WITNESS IN SALFORD IN 2015
AND TO BEGIN THE HALF TERM WITH A SMILE - THE TRUTH!
It is always the best policy to speak the truth - unless of course you are an exceptionally good liar!
One of the nicest things about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said!
Some people always tell the truth, but TILT it their way!
Tell the truth - and run! (Old Slovak proverb)
A half truth is a whole lie (Old Yiddish proverb)
"Son, I want an explanation and I want the truth!" - "Make your mind up, Dad! You can't have both!
Clever is when you believe only HALF of what you hear! Brilliant is when you know which half to believe!
AND A PEARL TO END!
A little girl attended a Wedding for the first time "Mummy why is the Bride dressed in white?" "Because", Mummy replied "white is the colour of happiness and today is the happiest day of her life.” The little girl thought about this for a moment and then said "So why is the Groom wearing black?"
