    Theme:  “Be prepared”

    Advent

Once again we prepare for the coming of OUR GOD who LOVES US - IT IS CALLED THE INCARNATION

“LO WITHIN A MANGER LIES.HE WHO BUILT THE STARRY SKIES.”

    The impossible became TRUE!

It is the greatest event in the whole of human history.

Why has he come? Not to condemn us but TO DIE FOR US!

EVEN AS A BABY THEY TRIED TO KILL HIM.

One day he will die an horrendous death on a cross.

God pursues mankind with a LOVE that is timeless, a love that refuses to allow hate and indifference and stupidity break it’s power.

He seeks the lost, the broken and wounded.

“I have come to call NOT the just but sinners”.

“HOW MUCH DO YOU LOVE?” “THIS MUCH.” AND HE STRETCHED OUT HIS ARMS AND DIED.

HIS FIRST COMING WAS IN HUMILITY AND OBSCURITY.

HIS SECOND COMING WILL BE IN POWER AND MAJESTY.

    And the Christmas funnies!

“I like Christmas because it is Jesus’s birthday, he has the birthday and we get the presents!” Joanne   Age 6

“Somehow you feel that giving should be more fun than receiving but it isn’t!  Charlotte   Age 10

“It must be horrible in the chimney with all that soot. I wonder why he doesn’t come through the door.”  Tommy   Age 6

“One day at Christmas we left some sherry and a letter for Santa and he replied in my mummy’s writing!”   Ian   Age 8

“Christmas is a happy time, not so much fun for grownups!   Angela   Age 10
