“GOD LOVED THE WORLD SO MUCH HE GAVE HIS SON” – ON A CROSS
Yes, a world that is violent, cruel, brutal & corrupt. HOW DO YOU MEASURE LOVE?
Inches? Feet? Yards? Ounces? Pounds? By temperature? NO!
THE ANSWER IS SIMPLY PAIN AND SUFFERING.
“I love you so much I would give you a pint of blood” Not much suffering there.
“I love you so much I would give you one of my kidneys” Now we’re talking – pain and suffering.
“I love you so much I would give my heart in a transplant”. I WOULD GIVE MY LIFE
IT IS WHAT IS CALLED DIVINE LOVE.
We were created in God’s love! We are God’s work of art!
To appreciate fully our Christian faith it is vital that we are convinced of God’s love for each one of us.
WHICH BRINGS US TO MOTHERING SUNDAY!
A MOTHER’S LOVE IS A REFLECTION OF GOD’S LOVE.
A Mother’s love is something that no one can explain; it is made of deep devotion and of sacrifice and pain.
It is endless and unselfish and enduring come what may, for nothing can destroy it or take that love away.
It is Patient and Forgiving when all others are forsaking, and it never fails of falters even though the heart is breaking.
It believes beyond believing, when the world around condemns. And it glows with all the beauty of the rarest brightest gems.
It is far beyond defining, it defies all explanation. And it still remains a secret like the mysteries of creation.
A many splendored miracle man cannot understand. And another wondrous evidence of God’s tender guiding hand.
Just as a mother will never give up on her child, God will never give up on us!
TO ALL OUR MUMS – THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU DO – HAPPY MOTHERING SUNDAY
THANK YOU AND ENJOY YOUR DAFFODILS
And my favourites
Men have sight, women insight! Mirror, mirror on the wall – I’m like my mother after all!
Whatever women do they must do twice as well as men to be thought half as good. This is not difficult!
Mums, congratulations! You are no longer simply mothers or housewives. No. You are now Research Associates in the Field of Child Development and Human Relations!!!!
My mum is the best gift I ever got (Billy ages 8) and so say all of us!
MOTHER’S DAY COFFEE MORNING – SERVED BY THE MEN OF THE PARISH DO COME ALONG!! HAPPY MOTHERING SUNDAY!
