    THE TEN COMMANDMENTS (1st Reading)

    God's recipe for our happiness

Law and Order requires rules and regulations. Disregard them at your peril! They are for our protection.

Callous rejection and disregard of rules can only bring unhappiness, heartbreak and broken lives - not to mention hatred, war and death.

Like it or not, God knows what is best for us!

GOD'S FOOLISHNESS, THE CRUCIFIED CHRIST, IS WISER THAN HUMAN WISDOM (2nd Reading)

God does know what He is doing!

"ZEAL FOR YOUR HOUSE WILL DEVOUR ME" (Today's Gospel)

Jesus will not stand by and watch the desecration of His Father's house - He drives them out. Today no meek and mild storybook caricature of Jesus - in fact He is hopping mad!

Finally, Jesus tells them that theTemplewill be replaced by a new sanctuary where people can meet God - in the person of the risen Jesus Himself.

"Destroy this temple, this sanctuary, and in three days I will raise it up"

And to end a few random thoughts!

Happiness is being Loved, especially by God!

A kind word is like a Spring day! (Russian Proverb)

Nobility is not a birth right: it is decided by one's actions!

Try not to become a man of success but rather try to become a man of value. (Albert Einstein)

The final test of a gentleman: his respect for those who can be of no possible value to him!

Love can transform the world! A Christian belief!

"Who, being loved is poor?" (Oscar Wilde)

    and finally:

"What proves that God loves us is that Jesus DIED for us while we were still sinners" (St. Paul)
