The wedding feast at Cana in Galilee

    Two Bridegrooms!

Jesus is the long awaited bridegroom of Israel.  He has come to claim his BRIDE – ISRAEL!

What a celebration it turns out to be!  Not just a few bottles of ‘plonk’ but 120 gallons of the BEST WINE.

“This was the first signs given by Jesus.  He let his glory be seen and his disciples believed in Him”

    THE IMAGERY IS FANTASTIC!

    PEACE SUNDAY

“Mankind must put an end to war or war will put an end to mankind” (JKK).  Never before were these words as true as they are today.

“Better a bad peace than a good war” (Jewish proverb).

“In modern warfare there are NO VICTORS: there are only SURVIVOURS!!

“I Hate war as only a soldier who has lived it can, only one who has seen its’ brutality, its’ futility, its’ stupidity”

OCTAVE FOR PRAYER FOR CHRISTIAN UNITY

“I do appeal to you brothers, for the sake of Our Lord Jesus Christ, to make up the differences between you and instead of disagreeing among yourselves, be united again in your belief and practice.”  (St. Paul to the Corinthians).

“Our divisions prevent our neighbours from hearing the Gospel as they should.”  (Pope John Paul I)

“In order to be united we must love one another, to love one another we must know one another, to know one another we must meet one another!”  (Cardinal Mercier).

At last the Christian Churches treat each other as Christians!

“The followers of other Christian Faiths are not our rivals or enemies, but our Brothers and Sisters.”

***Thank you for ALL the Birthday Card and Presents***

    A selection of YOUR funnies!

“Fr. John, life is short.  Break some rules!”

“Birthdays are good for you.  Statistics show that those who have the most birthdays live the longest!”

“There are three signs of old age – loss of memory... I have forgotten the other two!”

“Old age isn’t too bad when you consider the alternative”

“Fr. John, I’m at an age when if I drop a fiver in the collection plate, it’s not a donation, it’s an Investment!”

And finally: “If at 30 you are still out of shape, then you are OLD.  If at 81 you are supple and strong, then you are YOUNG.  YES, YOU’RE SUPERMAN!!!!
