Theme:  Trust and Perseverance

TRUST AND PERSEVERANCE

"GOD WILL SEE JUSTICE DONE TO HIS CHOSEN WHO CRY TO HIM"

Yes, but ALL in God's own time!

The secret of education is CONFIDENCE. Nothing makes a child grow faster and further than confidence - two obvious examples are swimming and cycling.

The same applies to RELIGIOUS EDUCATION. Trust and Confidence in GOD'S (OUR FATHER'S) overwhelming love for us are VITAL. Yes, HE IS OUR FATHER WHO LOVES AND CARES FOR US!

INSTANT is today's problem and OUR problem! Instant coffee, instant soup, instant mash, instant heat etc. etc. Instant SUCCESS, (but success  only comes before WORK in the dictionary!) We want everything NOW! And yes, we even tell God what to do, what needs doing and doing quick!

SORRY but it's His world and "IT'S IN HIS HANDS"!

"JUMP BILLY JUMP"

The house is on fire. All the family escape and stand gazing in despair. Suddenly, little Billy who was five, appears at the window shouting for help. He had been frightened by the fire, the smoke and had run back upstairs. His father called out to him to jump. But he can only see smoke and flames. "Billy, jump and I will catch you" "But I can't see you".  "Billy, I can see you and that's all that matters, jump". Billy jumps and finds himself safe and sound in his FATHER'S arms.

ST. LUKE, OUR PATRON SAINT (Next Tuesday)

A doctor, a non-Jew. His Gospel is the most literary of all four Gospels and his ACTS OF THE APOSTLES describes the growth of the early church.

He was overwhelmed by Jesus' love of 'rejects', the unfortunate and sinners. Hence

THE PRODIGAL SON

THE GOOD SAMARITAN

THE REPENTANT THIEF ON THE CROSS

ST. LUKE, PRAY FOR US (SINNERS)

And a few deep thoughts to end!

Saints are sinners who kept trying!

The world has a lot of starters but very few finishers!

I was going to buy a copy of 'The power of Positive Thinking' and then I thought 'what good would that do?'!!!

And now work this one out!

If a matter is not serious enough to pray about, then it's not serious enough to worry about; and if it is serious enough to pray about, and we have prayed about it, then there is no need to worry about it!!! Very erudite!.

WHAT A NOTE TO END! DO TRY TO PERSEVERE!
