Multi-cultural day (2007)

On 10th June 2007 St.Lukes celebrated the cultural diversity of its parishioners, who at that time originated from 21 different countries. The event was organised by Fr Joseph Jeyaraj, shortly before his return to India.

The day started with a multicultural Mass at 11am celebrated by 3 Priests in 3 languages. Hymns during Mass were be sung in 5 different languages. The Our Father was prayed simultaneously in 21 different languages. Flags from the 21 countries were offered during Mass and parishioners wore their national dress.

After the mass in the Parish Centre there was food, songs and dances representing all the different countries that are part of the parish
